Wise men insist that the youth of the nation
are the future leaders of the world and the next pillars that will hold up the
very fabric of our society to prevent it from spiralling downwards to chaos,
oblivion and eternal damnation. And that is exactly the reason why parents need
to work hard to develop their character, values and sense of right and wrong
especially during their formative years so that they will grow up and become
upstanding citizens and valuable members of the community. Likewise, teachers
should fulfil their oath, responsibility and solemn promise that they made to
guide and mould the young minds of their students so that they can reach the
peak of their potentials and accumulate the knowledge and wisdom that they need
to succeed in the outside world.
But
young people are often naturally stubborn, headstrong and foolhardy because
they feel that they have everything figured out. And that is why they do not
take their studies seriously as they zone out on dull and boring subjects like
biology, history and chemistry because they believe that they can always have a
fruitful career in integrated system management thanks to their knowledge of
computer science and information technology. This is rather disappointing for
parents who think that they are acting up and just being rebellious because
they are seeking attention or just plain refusing to succumb to the system.
Instead
of punishing them, neglecting their obvious cries for help and dismissing them
as entitled, spoiled brats who will never amount to anything good, parents and
teachers must realize that their love for computers and technology can actually
lead to a great career in the it network management industry. The older
generation are technologically challenged because most older folks are afraid
of learning technological terms and concepts like computer programming and
coding using different languages like HTML5, JavaScript and C++. That is why
the future rests in the hands of the younger generation because everything and
everyone relies on computers in this modern day and age.
And
since their children and students already spend most of their time on their
gadgets like smartphones and laptops, parents and teachers can use this to
their advantage. Instead of forcing their wards to study and learn the things
that they are clearly not interested in like mathematical equations and facts
about ancient history, they can inspire and motivate them to learn more about
the intricate, encompassing and comprehensive concepts in the world of information
technology and computer science. This can lead to a lucrative and high-paying
career in it operations management for a billion-dollar corporation, big time
company or international conglomerate.
This
is a long way from flipping hamburgers in a fast food joint, waiting tables in
a fancy restaurant or wasting their time playing video games as they live in
the basement of their parents’ house. A career in computer science and
information just might be the answer to their prayers because with hard work, imagination,
creativity and the desire to find solutions to the problems and predicaments
that we face in our daily lives they just might be the next Steve Jobs, Bill
Gates or Mike Zuckerberg.
